Webinar: Inclusive Emergency Preparedness for People with Disabilities

The Mid-Atlantic ADA Center is hosting an emergency preparedness webinar on November 15, 2-3:30 p.m. In this session, they will discuss what steps individuals need to take to be prepared, such as establishing a support network and what to keep in a go bag and an emergency supply kit. They will also review the basic principles found in the ADA for inclusive emergency preparedness and discuss its application to access and functional needs planning in the areas of evacuation, transportation, communication, and emergency sheltering. Finally, they will provide helpful tips, checklists, toolkits, and a number of other resources that are available to everyone in order to meet the goal of effective inclusive emergency planning.
