This MOOC-Ed is brought to you by the New Literacies Collaborative (NLC) a program of the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation at NC State University's College of Education. It is designed specifically for teacher educators and 4th - 12th grade teachers in:english and language arts iconEnglish & Language Arts,science iconScience,history and social studies iconHistory/Social Studies, andmath iconMathematics. However, the MOOC-Ed is open to all educators in K-12 and postsecondary levels interested in learning more about disciplinary literacy for deeper learning.

MOOC-Ed courses are self-directed, peer-supported, project-based, and allow for rich blended learning opportunities. They are flexible and can be accessed at any time, in any place, and on any device. All the courses are free and open to all interested U.S. and international educators.

Participants who complete MOOC-Eds are eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion of 20 hours of professional development from NC State University, and educators around the world have applied their MOOC-Ed experience toward CEU requirements.* (Subject to the approval of your local crediting agency.)
