REGISTER NOW for Course #1, Summer, 2020  - CVI: Considerations for Distance Learning Tutorial (2.0 Credits)

Registration with VSDB Outreach for this course ends at 4:00 pm, Saturday, June 20, 2020. Course access begins when you receive your voucher code, and ends July 21, 2020.

Course Description: During the COVID-19 pandemic, families and professionals have been significantly challenged to provide child-centered, meaningful instruction and opportunities to continue to implement CVI interventions throughout the day. In this webinar, the presenters will provide a thorough exploration of the unique considerations for distance learning in each Phase of CVI, including the use of technology and ideas for the role of families and professionals in maximizing the impact of distance learning for students with CVI. A new set of guidelines will be introduced. There are many creative resources, but it is important to emphasize that CVI intervention is not a “one size fits all” approach, and the individual child’s functional vision assessment results should be the central guide for intervention.

Presented by Dr. Christine Roman-Lantzy, Jonathan Hooper, and Christopher Russell.

Upon successful completion of the test, participants will earn 2.0 Professional Development Points, ACVREP, CTLE, or CEU.

After the registration period ends, you will receive a voucher (coupon) code that you will use when registering with the Perkins School to have the fees waived. The course(s) can then be taken at your convenience within a specified time period, as detailed above.

*If you do not need credit or contact hours toward licensure, these courses can be accessed for free through Perkins without going through VSDB Outreach Services.
