Engaging Middle & High School Students in Self-Determination through Universal Designs for Learning

Adjusting and customizing instruction to meet the needs of individual students is essential for the development of self-determination skills. This two-day Statewide training will demonstrate use of Universal Design for Learning to take self-determination skills from theory to practice.

Sessions will focus on providing multiple means of presenting information, differentiating methods in which students express understanding, and stimulating motivation for learning.
Each school team is REQUIRED to consist of a building level administrator, a special education teacher, a general education teacher,  and a central office designee.
