NHSA’s 35th annual Parent and Family Engagement Conference is the only national event that focuses on how Head Start parents, families, and staff can best partner to promote both family engagement and children’s development.

This year’s Parent and Family Engagement conference will expose a wide range of new resources and thinking on the topic of young children’s challenging behaviors and how Head Start programs can address the wellness needs of children, families and staff. Presenters with a whole child approach will help the Head Start community unpack this complex subject matter. 

A variety of sessions will enable conference attendees to go deep and wide - with discussions designed for parents, staff and leadership. Learn about developmentally appropriate innovations that are practitioner- and family-friendly. Experts in adverse childhood experiences and trauma-informed care will share techniques and skills you can take home to create safe environments in which children can flourish and learn.
