edWeb: Personalized Learning for All: The Benefits of Right-Sized Professional Literacy Learning for Teachers

This is a completed event.

Description:

The development of effective reading skills plays a foundational role in the future academic success of our students. In U.S. schools, only one-third of third-grade students have the skills they need to confidently navigate their coursework in math, science, and social studies from fourth grade on. There is a gap that needs to be filled—teachers need right-sized education and resources to support students who are struggling with reading to learn; educators need implementation strategies for utilizing structured literacy principles.

Join Christine Fiorini, Lexia Learning Director of the Professional Learning Facilitator Team, and Mandisa Neal, Lexia Learning Senior Manager of Professional Learning Facilitators, in a conversation about meeting the need for personalized and role-specific professional education in structured literacy that also respects the limited time educators have available.

This edWebinar will be of interest to elementary and middle school teachers and school and district leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
