Description:

This webcast will discuss the importance of using person-centered planning tools for individuals with ASD pre-k through adulthood. The importance of developing skills, abilities knowledge and confidence in one’s self and developing through the years will be emphasized. How to adapt tools to meet the various communication needs of individuals and their support networks will also be discussed.  

Teresa has worked with individuals with disabilities since 1998. She has served as a special education teacher in Virginia Public Schools, Education Coordinator for VDOE’s Training and Technical Assistance Center at JMU and currently as Training Associate for Virginia Commonwealth University- Autism Center for Excellence. Teresa is also an endorsed Positive Behavior Support Facilitator.  She has spoken nationally on the topics of Positive Behavior Support, Self-Determination and Person–Centered Planning for students with disabilities.
