Virginia Mathematics Pathways Initiative Webinar Invitation (Virginia Department of Education, VDOE)

This is a completed event.

Description:

The Virginia Mathematics Pathways Initiative (VMPI) is a joint initiative among the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) and the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). The Initiative supports the Profile of a Virginia Graduate by redefining mathematics pathways for students in the Commonwealth to address the knowledge, skills, experiences, and attributes that students must attain to be successful in college and/or the workforce and to be “life ready.”

In order to collect stakeholder feedback, the Virginia Department of Education is hosting a series of webinars to provide an overview of the Virginia Mathematics Pathways Initiative recommendations. Broad stakeholder engagement is vital to the success of this work. Mathematics and administrative leaders from each school division are invited to participate in these conversations. Targeted regional webinars will be held to ensure that space is available in each session. Session information and links to register are listed below. Registrants will receive a confirmation email with the link to a Zoom meeting after registering.
