Taking Steps to Healthy Success Childhood Obesity Prevention Project

If you would like to learn more about the Childhood Obesity Prevention Project - 20-minute Directors’ Information webinars are being held to share a project overview and answer questions. Signing up for a webinar DOES NOT commit you to the project – it’s just an information session.
The Childhood Obesity Prevention Project has limited spaces, and great benefits for participation to help committed educators help young children get to kindergarten at a healthy weight!
Childhood Obesity Prevention Project Benefits
- Lively, evidence-based training (up to 30 clock hours) to prepare ECE programs to prevent obesity in young children
- Networking with other educators
- FREE toolkits, books, CDs, resources, etc.
- $500 cash stipend for completing the project
Eligible Locations
Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Fauquier
Program Commitments Include
- Program leadership team attends training (five 6-hour days, scheduled 8-10 weeks apart)
- Program leadership team shares information with program staff
- Complete action plan to improve nutrition and/or physical activity in your program.
