UCP (United Cerebral Palsy) Internship Program

United Cerebral Palsy (UCP), a leading service provider and advocate for individuals with a range of disabilities and their families, offers internships throughout the year for motivated college students or recent graduates to work in our national office in downtown Washington, D.C. The program is part of My Life Without Limits, UCP’s resource for people with a range of disabilities. UCP’s national office supports our affiliate network located across the United States and Canada through marketing and communications, fundraising and programmatic support. We also provide leadership through information/referral and public policy, as well as innovation and public education initiatives.

Among the many advantages of working here include the metro-accessible location at Farragut North (red line) and Farragut West (blue, orange and silver lines) in the heart of Washington D.C.; friendly, hard-working staff; and flexibility – we want you to enjoy your internship, so we tailor the program to your strengths and interests.

Candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, a team player and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Interns should be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week, for the course of their internship. Students with disabilities and/or those with a passion for disability-related issues are encouraged to apply!

Interns will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of areas including, but not limited to:

  • Affiliate Services/Public Education and Outreach
  • Development/Fundraising
  • Marketing/Communications
  • Public Policy
  • Information and Referral Services
