The student will investigate and understand how weather conditions and phenomena occur and can be predicted by investigating

  1. Weather phenomena
  2. Weather measurement and meteorological tools
  3. Using weather measurements and weather phenomena to make weather predictions

Future forecasters for the protection of the citizens of Charlottesville


Did you know that Charlottesville has been impacted by severe thunderstorms, hurricanes, and tornadoes? In order to improve forecasting weather, the NWS has asked that students of Charlottesville find a way to help forecast future weather conditions to help Virginians be better prepared, and to minimize damage and destruction of severe weather.
