Brief Review of Some Digital Readers

Welcome to our Project
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) statewide network of university-housed Training and Technical Assistance Centers (T/TACs) are designed to improve educational opportunities that contribute to the success of children and youth with disabilities (ages birth - 22). T/TACs work to increase the capacity of school personnel, service providers, and families by providing training and technical assistance that fosters students with disabilities access to the general curriculum, achievement in the least restrictive environment, and knowledge and skills to transition to adult settings.
The Assistive Technology project addresses priorities of VDOE with centralized coordination, implementation, and dissemination of information about the laws which define AT devices and services, the process of consideration of AT by Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams, and AT assessment and resources.
In support of these priorities, the project has several initiatives which include:
