Description:

Register for Practicing Math Skills with Games: Revitalizing Your Small-Group Instruction - As the end of the year approaches, our energy levels are waning, yet we know our students still need our best teaching and thinking as they continue to learn. This two-part edWebinar series is designed to recharge your small-group instruction with a dual focus on practicing skills and applying the mathematics students have learned this year. For teachers, this series will emphasize supporting student-to-student interaction while working in groups as well as practical strategies for documenting student learning and thinking.

In the first session of this series, we will feature student interaction through games while they practice mathematics skills. We’ll explore print and digital games students can play together. You’ll leave the session with new games to play, a list of questions that encourage student math talk about their strategies and thinking as they play, and ideas for documenting student progress. Join Sara Delano Moore, Ph.D. to build your collection of effective skills practice centers.

This edWebinar will be of interest to teachers and school and district leaders of the elementary grades. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
