5th Annual Advocacy Symposium (PEATC & VDOE)

Description:

PEATC, in collaboration with The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), will be hosting Virginia's Advocacy Symposium for professional advocates and parent advocates (paid and not paid) for children with disabilities.

The objective of this event is to provide relevant and up to date educational information to professional advocates and parent advocates (paid and not paid) in order to empower them to positively support parents of children with disabilities in Virginia.

There are a limited number of spots available, so please register early.

Logistics:

On Monday, April 8, 2019 from 6pm-8pm we will have a networking reception. Please indicate on your registration if you will be attending this valuable opportunity.

Symosium registration and breakfast start at 8am on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, with the Syposium itself beginning promptly at 9am and running until 3:30pm.

A limited number of hotel rooms are available for participants who live sixty miles or more from the venue. These will be available to participants at no charge. Important - These rooms are available on a first come / first served basis. Once the blocked rooms have all been taken, there will be no more available. Participants who live less than sixty miles from the venue will NOT be eligble for these rooms.

You must receive a confirmation from the PEATC office (not just Eventbrite) and commit to participating in the entire training to attend this event.
