REVIVE! Training: Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education (Learn how you can help when someone experiences an opiod overdose) (Region 4)

Description:

Virginia is currently under a public health emergency as a result of the opioid addiction crisis that is affecting much of the United States. The Commonwealth of Virginia has been severely impacted - particularly regarding the abuse of prescription drugs. REVIVE! is the Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education program for professionals, stakeholders and others affected on how to recognize and respond to an overdose emergency with the administration of Naloxone (Narcan). The training covers understanding opioids, how opioid overdoses happen, risk factors for opioids overdoses and how to respond in an emergency with naloxone. REVIVE is a collaborative effort led by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS).

Note that child care for younger children is not available.

Please preregister: we will host the class only if 8 or more individuals register to attend the evening training.
