Workshop # 2 Teacher Language- Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, 9:30am-11:00am
Presented by: Holly Blum

Teacher Language is the root for growing positive teacher-child relationships and encouraging a productive classroom in which children learn and thrive. Teacher Language can provoke thinking and reflection, build child vocabulary and encourage a child to make good choices. This workshop will integrate recent research findings into an interactive discussion about Teacher Language.

Workshop #3 Preschool Curriculum and Benchmarks- January 20, 2017, 9:30am-11:00am
Presented by: Meghan Themak

During this workshop we will create a shared understanding of what curriculum looks like in the early childhood setting.  Then, we will explore developmentally-appropriate and hands-on learning experiences connected to the topics of the curriculum.  Finally, we will integrate benchmarks into those learning experiences to help us identify what we want children to understand.

Workshop #4 Authentic Assessment in Early Childhood- Saturday, April 7, 2018, 9:30am-11:00am
Presented by: Meghan Themak

To connect planning and learning experiences, first we will revisit benchmarks to help us identify what we want children to know and be able to do.  Then, we will look at how we will capture those skills and abilities.
