When attending an individualized education program (IEP) meeting, parents and caregivers may be confused about whether or not their child qualifies for Extended School Year (ESY) services. ESY is a crucial aspect of special education and it can be very beneficial, when it is deemed appropriate.

In this webinar, participants will learn what the IEP team members should look for to determine which students are eligible for ESY, what questions to ask in an IEP meeting when you believe your child is entitled to ESY, and what a typical ESY daily schedule may look like.

Our presenter will be Liz Capone, professional advocate and certified expert witness in special education, who has been an IEP Coordinator and Special Education Team Leader, as well as a teacher in six local school systems.
