Challenging Behavior: Directors and Teachers Working with Families and Other Experts, by Barbara Kaiser

This is a completed event.

Description:

It’s all about relationships and building a trusting and respectful relationship with every child’s family. It’s important to make this connection before difficulties arise because parent engagement is never more important than when there is child with challenging behavior in your group/center. Families have a strong emotional investment in their children so that when there are issues about their child’s behavior they are never really ready to hear about it from you even though they may be having some of the same struggles at home.

In this powerful webinar by social-emotional learning expert, Barbara Kaiser, you will learn:

  1. prepare for difficult discussions
  2. conduct an effective meeting with families
  3. help families recognize when additional help may be needed

All sessions are 1.5 hours long, and include a brief announcement from our sponsor.

2:oo PM – 3:30 PM Eastern Time.
