Center for Disability Leadership (Virginia Commonwealth University)


The Center for Disability Leadership supports and encourages people with disabilities to become leaders in their own lives and leaders in our communities. The Center carries out the mission by:

  • Providing resources for people with disabilities, family members, professionals, and others on current topics of interest;
  • Supporting people with disabilities to become leaders, from finding their individual voices to leading the charge for systems change;
  • Helping people with disabilities to influence local, state, and national policies and practices in order to open doors to full participation; and
  • Partnering with others to advocate with people with disabilities.
