Description:

Children with disabilities may at times have difficulty managing their emotions while in school. When discipline is required, especially for a child with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) the consequences could vary. There are situations where schools are required to continue to provide educational services for children with disabilities who are not allowed in school due to the violation. When this happens, a manifestation determination review (MDR) meeting is required to decide the next steps.

What is an MDR? How do I prepare and represent my child at the meeting? Do I need a lawyer? What are my rights? These and other questions will be answered during this interactive two-part webinar series.
