It's all Interconnected - Sensory Processing and Social and Emotional Development for Infants and Toddlers, Part l & Part ll (Virginia Early Intervention Professional Development Center)

This is a completed event.

Description:

Register for Part l & Part ll - Join Yvonnie Hutchinson and Sarah Kim for this two-part Talks on Tuesday to develop a deeper understanding of the sensory system and investigate its interconnectedness to our feelings and reactions. In Part I, the presenters will explore the role of the sensory system as a contributor to setting a baseline of regulation for participation in all areas of development. We will look more closely at the behavioral responses of young children related to differences in sensory processing and how those responses may negatively affect participation in daily routines and social and emotional development. In Part II, the presenters will share strategies to support caregivers as they help their infants and toddlers develop a well-regulated sensory system and enjoy social connection and engagement.

Registration closes on Nov. 10th at 5:00pm.
