Description:

TechKnowledgy 2024: Call for Proposals Form - The Virginia Department of Education’s Assistive Technology Network is planning the 2024 TechKnowledgy Conference in Harrisonburg, VA on the campus of James Madison University this November 19-20. The TK24 planning committee invites all interested persons to submit proposals to share their knowledge and innovations during the conference's 75-minute breakout sessions on Tuesday, November 19

Through this conference, we seek for participants to not only learn about evidence-based assistive technology (AT) in educational, vocational, and community settings with students of all ages and disabilities but also gain skills that empower and equip them to implement high-leverage practices in their day-to-day work and activities. Target areas include AT for transition, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), inclusive technologies, literacy, numeracy, executive functioning, Early Childhood, family engagement, and AT related to the Virginia Essentialized Standards of Learning (VESOLs).

Proposals for sessions must be received by May 31, 2024. Presenters will be notified of their acceptance by August 9, 2024

We are looking forward to receiving your proposal!
