Description:

Elementary, middle, and high math demonstration site teams in the Excellence in Co-Teaching Initiative share ways they address a variety of skills, ranging from basic multiplication and division through polynomial operations. Their lesson plans include a number of Total Participation Techniques, such as Processing Cards and Quick Write/Quick Draw Cards. Several implement a Content Enhancement Routine and all highlight the High-Leverage Practices they use to create their learning environment – including how positive constructive feedback can help students turn math computation mistakes into learning opportunities. The techniques shared will be valuable across content areas.
