TechKnowledgy 2019 Call for Proposals (Proposals for sessions must be received by February 1, 2019.)

Description:

April 8 & 9, 2019 Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Richmond-Midlothian, Richmond, VA

Sponsored by the Virginia Department of Education’s Assistive Technology Network

The TechKnowledgy 2019 Conference supports IEP teams (practitioners, administrators, families, students) and others in identifying and using assistive technology (AT) with children, youth, and young adults with a wide variety of disabilities in inclusive environments. This conference highlights evidence-based practices and the use of innovative and existing assistive technology to promote student success and independence.

The TechKnowledgy planning committee invites all interested persons to submit proposals for sessions scheduled on Monday, April 8th, 2019. We seek sessions that highlight the use of assistive technology (including AAC) in educational, vocational and community settings with students of all ages and disabilities (preschool through high school). We encourage sessions that are interactive and engaging for participants (e.g., device exploration, make and take activities, and/or group problem solving).
