Register for CBITS: An Intervention to Address Trauma Exposure in Middle School Students - Many middle school students continue to experience trauma exposure and subsequent emotional and behavioral issues due to continuing impacts of the Covid-19 Pandemic, economic hardships, and community violence. A widely implemented, evidence-based group treatment, the Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS), was adapted utilizing input from school staff members, parents, and clinicians in the Richmond, Virginia area to reflect the cultural identities and experiences of local students. The presentation will benefit school support staff by demonstrating how the RVA CBITS Update group intervention can be implemented with middle school students with traumatic exposure
