Online Workshop Series: Learning about Your Child's Reading Development (National Center on Improving Literacy, NCIL, and PEATC)

Description:

Being informed about the parts of literacy, how children learn to read, and why they might struggle can help you make better decisions about your child’s education. Research shows that when schools, teachers, and families are well-informed, children make greater gains in reading and writing.

This free self-paced online workshop provides parents with the foundations, tips, and tools on helping their child learn to read. This series is divided into four sessions and will take approximately 4 hours to complete.

More information including how to access the online self-paced course will be sent on or around Thursday, November 5th.
