SC Chat: Who's at the Door? Building Relationships with Families from the First Visits

This is a completed event.

Description:

Service coordination starts at the beginning, during those very first contacts with families, including first visits! Join this web discussion to hear from JoShirlon Capeheart, an experienced service coordinator from the Infant & Toddler Connection of Norfolk, as she shares her insights, strategies, and ideas for helping families understand how early intervention works, how she builds rapport and gathers information from families during first visits, how she has adapted her practices during tele-intervention, and how she builds relationships with families in challenging situations.
