Y-TAC Offers WIOA Webinar Series: WIOA - Critical Definitions, Pre-Employment Transition Services, Section 511 & Subminimum Wage Limitations, Interagency Coordination, and Promising Practices in the States

The legal landscape around serving transition-age youth has changed dramatically in the last few years. The Vocational Rehabilitation Youth Technical Assistance Center (Y-TAC) is conducting a five-part series of webinars to assist youth service professionals in understanding the intricacies of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and other legal changes related to serving transition-age youth. The webinars are designed for Vocational Rehabilitation counselors, school personnel, community-based organizations, and other youth service professionals working with transition-age youth as well as family members and advocates.

All webinars will be held from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm EDT. All webinars will be open captioned, recorded and posted to the Y-TAC website. The Y-TAC is a sister technical assistance center of the NCWD/Youth, housed at the Institute for Educational Leadership and supported by the U.S. Department of Education's Rehabilitation Services Administration.
