This webinar will address services in the state that individuals with autism can receive to assess their potential to safely and independently operate a motor vehicle. Components of a driving evaluation will be covered as well as strategies, techniques and technologies that might be useful for learning to drive. Information on possible challenges and barriers will be shared as well as environmental supports and compensatory strategies. A parent’s perspective regarding her son’s goal to obtain a driver’s license will also be included in this webinar.
