In-Person Event: Families of Students with Disabilities Information Night, Jan. 16, 2025 at 6:00pm (PEATC) (Familes of students with disabilities in Region 1.)

Description:

Families of Students with Disabilities Information Night / Noche de Información Familias de Estudiantes con Discapacidades - Do you have a child with a disability? Do you need help understanding special education and/or transition to adulthood processes? Do you have questions about IEPs? Join Delegate Carrie Coyner and PEATC for a Family Information Night and have your questions answered.

Registration is NOT required but is helpful for planning purposes.
The event will be held for families of students with disabilities who live anywhere in Region 1.

There will be breakouts so you can choose the topic(s) you most want to learn about. The breakouts will focus on:
- Early Childhood
- Transition IEPs/Self-Advocacy
- Entering the Adult World
- Collaboration, Disagreements, and Parent Rights
- and Special Education and IEPs (in English and Spanish).

In addition to our breakout sessions, PEATC will be available to answer your individual questions and schedule follow-up meetings with you!
We hope you will join us for this opportunity to learn more about the supports that can help your child navigate their educational journey.
