Teachers as Researchers: Developing Understanding through Reflection & Documentation

This is a completed event.

Description:

Teachers as Researchers will transform the Charlottesville early childhood community. Deb Curtis, accompanied by the Harvest Resources Associates, will lead institute participants in dialogue, materials exploration, reflection, and documentation in the early childhood classroom. You will have the opportunity to connect with fellow educators, develop new ideas to bring back to your schools, and transform your thinking about the teacher’s role in early childhood education.

Whether you are a teacher, administrator, or teacher educator, join us to for a three day institute of reflective practice. In our work, we find most "professional development" offerings consist of fragmented 2-3 hour workshops delivered with teachers as passive, compliant recipients of others' "knowledge."
