Register for Opening Doors-Unlocking Potential 2024 - ODUP 2024 is an event bringing together professionals and parents from across the Commonwealth of Virginia to engage in dialogue, discussion, and learning methods to strengthen academic outcomes for children who are deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind in order to increase the knowledge and skills of those who can have a positive impact on a student’s educational process.
The registration deadline is May 29, 2024. Registrations received after this deadline will incur an additional $10 fee. Registration will be accepted through June 7, 2024, or until the event is at capacity. Credit card payments can be made online upon registering. Refunds are not available.
Outreach Services at the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind and the Technical Assistance Center for Children Who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing are offering a limited number of scholarships to attend Opening Doors - Unlocking Potential (ODUP) to professionals who are an employee of a Virginia Public School who serves children who are deaf, hard of hearing or deafblind and families of children who are deaf, hard hearing, or deafblind that attend a Virginia Public School.
ODUP Scholarship Application - The scholarships will be awarded as reimbursements for the registration cost for ODUP. Registration for the event is required to apply for the scholarship. Deadline for conference registration is May 29, 2024. You will be notified by email if you receive a scholarship.
We are accepting Exhibitor Interest Forms until May 17, 2024 for organizations with experience serving the needs of children who are deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind. The exhibitor registration fee (for one or both days) is required for one exhibitor and includes food and beverage, session admission, and having your logo and organization information listed throughout the event. An additional person will need to register at a discounted rate.
