Screening for brain injury among underserved and vulnerable populations is critical to ensure access to resources and support. However, if not done well, screening can elicit a traumatic response, especially for those who have experienced trauma. Trauma can be experienced in a variety of ways, including intimate partner violence, child abuse, experiencing overdose, and military combat. Therefore, it is important to understand the principles and best practices as it relates to implementing a trauma informed approach to screening for brain injury. 

This webinar will provide an overview of the need for a trauma informed approach and best practice principles for implementing trauma informed screening using a modified version of the Ohio State University Traumatic Brain Injury Identification Method.
