Webinar: Inclusion of Preschool Children with Disabilities in Early Childhood (VDOE)

This is a completed event.

Description:

Registration - Inclusion of preschool aged children with disabilities in early childhood programs is supported through years of research and reinforced by a strong legal foundation. As such, the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is providing a webinar to assist school divisions in identifying, developing, and sustaining inclusive early childhood programs for children with Individualized Education Programs. The target audience is administrators and supervisors of programs that serve young children with disabilities (ECSE, Head Start, VPI, Title I, community-based providers). Administrators from early childhood programs are encouraged to view the webinars together. The webinar is October 5 from 12:30-1:30 pm. The webinar will advance participants’ knowledge of the benefits and legal requirements of early childhood inclusion, contexts and models of inclusion, and identify resources for programs to support and improve inclusion and provide the opportunity to review state and division level inclusion data.
