In this webinar, participants will learn  to integrate High Leverage Practices (HLPs) with VDOE's Just in Time Quick Checks to maximize student engagement.  Participants will learn how to use the Just in Time Quick Checks to identify essential learning standards and prerequisite skills. Participants will learn how to translate essential prerequisite and grade level standards into student friendly language and create student self-monitoring checklists.  The self-monitoring checklists help students develop a growth mindset, grit, and self-determination skills. Sequencing lessons to improve understanding and lesson planning is discussed.  Finally, ways to integrate Just in Time Quick Checks into lessons is shared.
