The following contains various simulation activities designed to increase students’ understanding and empathy for their classmates who experience challenges following a brain injury. Each page includes a description of the activity, a recommended subject area relevant to the activity, objectives and procedures, a list of materials, and discussion points to facilitate conversation following each activity. Please note that these activities are designed to stimulate the senses to give a student without a brain injury a sense for what it is like to experience brain injury. If you have a student in your class with neurological impairments, e.g. seizure activity, headaches, they may want to avoid doing some of the activities.
