Demystifying Technology Integration: What Does Active Learning Look like for Students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities?

This is a completed event.

Description:

We know technology can be a powerful tool and in some instances, the only way our students reach their potential. Why then are these tools still used so infrequently in our classrooms? It seems curriculum integration remains a nebulous term, with even good teachers being unable to identify access opportunities within a given lesson.

During this workshop, participants will learn to identify access opportunities by examining common curriculum objectives, identify strategies to increase student access and participation, and explore curriculum examples that demonstrate increased opportunities for student success. Come explore strategies to maximize the tools you have and increase opportunities for student engagement and achievement throughout the day.

Intended Audience: Parents and professionals who support a student or students with complex needs.
