Supports for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities (May 20, 2020 Newsletter- Training & Technical Assistance Center at Old Dominion University)

Description:

Supports for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities is a resource that originated in Arkansas. Intended as a means of collaboration between teachers and families, the document offers examples and related resources for a number of lessons that can completed at home during normal daily routines.

We asked a number of Virginia special educators to preview the document and then invited them to a virtual discussion where they shared their initial thoughts, offered some great ideas, and answered important questions related to the resource.   Videos of these discussions are available.
