Testing Accommodations for Students with Disabilities A Resource Document (PEATC)

Description:

In Virginia, every IEP must include a statement of how the child will participate in state- and division-wide assessments, such as the Standards of Learning (SOL) assessments. The IEP must note whether they need accommodations or alternate assessments and what those accommodations are. Accommodations provide students with disabilities access to state and division assessments and give them a way to demonstrate their knowledge and skills without altering the test content.
