AI Prompting Blueprint Document (GMU TTAC)

Description:

Check out the AI Prompting Blueprint document - Artificial intelligence (AI) can be a valuable instructional planning tool when teachers provide clear, specific prompts. The TRACI mnemonic, Task, Role, Audience, Context, and Intent, offers a simple mnemonic and framework for creating effective AI prompts that support differentiated instruction and individualized supports for students with disabilities.

By describing students' learning needs, strengths, challenges, and necessary accommodations, teachers can use AI to generate lessons, scaffolds, and instructional strategies that increase access to grade-level learning. AI should be used to enhance professional practice, not replace teacher expertise, IEP requirements, or collaborative planning. Always review and refine AI-generated responses to ensure they are accurate, appropriate, and aligned to student needs. Most importantly, follow your school division’s AI guidance.
